But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8

I want you to look up the full process of how clay is turned into a pot. You will see that in the
beginning the clay has to be wedged which removes air bubbles and softens the clay for molding. Afterwards the clay is thrown on the wheel and the potter begin the process centering the clay on the wheel. This is where the potter will use both hands working together to mold the clay gently but firmly. Continuously correcting, touching, adding, and subtracting water from the clay. Once formed the clay is set out to dry. The clay is then played in a fire, then glazed, and placed in the fire again. The clay is then ready to be used.

This is how I imagine our Father is molding us into his works of art. We need to get beat and softened. We need to be centered on God. We need God’s constant correction, love, and attentiveness. We need to go through the cleansing fire. We need to know patience while we dry. And then continue to go through the fire again and again and again. Becoming a vessel that can be used by God for His will.

I love you all, Semper Fi. –
